The sugar monkey specializes in modern American pastries, custom wedding cakes and special occasion cakes. We use natural and organic products, fresh fruits, single estate chocolates, and European style butter. Our inspiration comes from the natural progression of the seasons – a juicy Florida strawberry in the winter or wild Maine blueberries in the summer. We are always looking for new reasons to eat dessert first!
Jennifer Reed is the pastry chef and owner of the sugar monkey. She worked with chefs Remy Funfrock and Daniel Boulud in New York and Palm Beach learning classical French pastry. While working at Chef Boulud’s Café Boulud Palm Beach she received numerous accolades for her desserts. Jennifer infuses her French training with her playful Midwestern spirit and distinctly feminine touch to bring you her “simply sophisticated” modern American pastries, wedding cakes and special occasion cakes.
